Using a handsaw, cut horizontally from the large hole to the current screw holes. This will create a slotted hole. See example drawing. The flanges of the Homebox fall over the slotted holes and seal completely draught-proof.

No. Because there is no thermal bridge and because insulation has been applied in the Homebox, condensation will not occur.
No. Plastic does not conduct heat or cold. To avoid a thermal bridge, the Homebox is made of plastic. Only the outside of the outer flap made of aluminium.
Yes! The Homebox has been tested by the independent building physics agency Peutz. They have established that the Homebox does what we promise. The test report can be found under Downloads and then choose Peutz building physics report.
No, the Homebox is both draught-proof and insulating. The Homebox has a U-value = 1.23 W/m2.K, which is equivalent to the new insulated doors.
The Homebox is entirely manufactured and assembled in the Netherlands. This allows us to guarantee the best quality and the Homebox is also very durable in this area.
Yes, of course, we have taken into account the requirements of the law regarding the design of a letterbox for post, newspaper and leaflet deliverers. The insertion opening of the Homebox is even larger than required by law. With this, we comply with the government’s ‘BES Letterboxes Regulation’ law.
Often, the hole in the door can be reduced with (wooden) padding. If necessary, enlist the help of a professional.
The hole will have to be made bigger. The Homebox comes with a ‘jig’ showing the exact size. If you stick to this size, the Homebox will fit perfectly in your door.
The required recess in the door for a fitting Homebox is 280 mm wide and 48 mm high. These dimensions are also given on the supplied template.
The shaft of the Homebox is easy to shorten yourself with a fine-toothed sharp saw, so that the Homebox can also be used in thinner doors. (Minimum panel thickness is then 24 mm). Do not forget to cut the bolts to the right size.
As standard, the Homebox is suitable for doors or frames with a thickness of 38mm to 70mm. With the shaft extender, the Homebox is suitable for and doors or frames up to 100mm thick.

Indeed, the Homebox can also be placed vertically. The valves are pre-tensioned and continuously press the valves closed in the rubbers. This makes it no problem for vertical placement.
We deliberately chose a sleek and timeless design, making it suitable for many homes. The outer flap is made of high-quality brushed aluminium (blank (F1), black or ALUINOX) and the inner flap of grey (RAL 7047), black (RAL 9005), cream white (RAL 9001), white (RAL 9010) plastic. At additional cost, it is possible to have the Homebox painted in any RAL colour.
